It's been a while since I posted anything. After the last post, I have been extremely busy at work and have not had a chance to get online and do what I like. It's been crazy at work. I had some great things going on with the yearbook at school (which I sponsor and create) and then the activities that I do for the kids. Cinco de Mayo was paired with Teacher Appreciation this year. I did a week long activity with the school. It was great. Interestingly enough one of my really good friends was being investigated for something minimal that was blown out of proportion. It made me rethink some stuff about the world for just a few minutes until I realized (yet again) that God has a plan for us all. He puts us in our certain paths for a reason.
My life has been going really good. I mean I live with some friends that I love, but I really want my own space so I will be looking into getting an apartment by myself soon. I just need my space, my privacy, my own. I need to start baking again. I miss it. I know that I could bake here, but I really don't like to impose on other people's stuff even though I am told to not worry about it...
My family is doing okay, we got together for Mother's day at mom's and BBQ'd. Got to see my mom and sisters. I hope all is going well for everyone.

My Family
Welcome everyone to the Garcia Gazette. This is blog that posts goings on of the Garcia Family of South Texas. We are are a family of nine children and two wonderful parents. My name is Joseph Garcia. I will be posting information about what our family is doing and so on. I am new to this, but I like to write and keep in touch with my family so hopefully my family will contribute and enjoy...
I'll start with some history and along the way add some adventures my family and myself had as I was growing up and as adults... We are a very loving family and care for each other very much although sometimes we get on each other's nerves... But nobody messes with us.. LOL
This month marks the two year anniversary that our dear father passed on. He was an incredible man. He provided for his family. Not only monetarily, but with wisdom and love. He was there for each and everyone of us throughout our lives. I can remember as a child thinking that he did not love me cause he used to pay more attention to other members of the family, but I came to learn that he was paying attention to me and watching, knowing that I had the strength to endure any hardships that came my way. He knew that he had taught me well on how to take on the world and take care of myself. He was strong and gentle all at once.
As a kid you look up to your parents for guidance and support and you see strength and endurance. I remember coming back from living in Houston and seeing my father in feeble condition and it tore me up. I could not believe that the man that I admired for so very long was growing old. It was very surreal to me. As a child you think that your parents will be there forever and ever, never realizing that they are simply human too. My dad was my superhero...
